Above-Ground Measuring Overview

Most above-ground pools fall into standardized sizes! If you still have the original paperwork from your installer, it may tell you exactly what size liner you need! If not, all you'll need is a tape measure and something to document your measurements!

Elite's pool liners are designed for a 4" cove at the bottom corner of the outside wall. It provides a 4" down, 4" out curve to it, so it helps eliminate wrinkles!

To measure the diameter of the pool, it's usually easiest to work with a partner! Stretch the tape measure across the pool, keeping in mind you're measuring the pool, and not the protective rails! If you're measuring an oval, be sure to measure the widest points on both sides!

To measure the wall height (for beaded liners), measure the outside of the pool from the absolute floor bottom up to the top of the pool wall. Don't include the top rails, ledges, or cap! Keep in mind if the pool is recessed in the ground, it could affect your measurements. Be sure to include the full wall height from the channel up to the top of the pool wall.

If you're stuck, contact us and we'll assist you; just don't drop your phone in the pool!
